Peckers for everyone

We were at the Grand down at Glenelg last Saturday night and we saw at least 2 different Hens' Nights blow past us throughout the night. One of them was the perfect cliche, complete with a veil for the bride-to-be and embarassing dares and being too young to have ever been to a hens' night, I was a bit mesmerised by the madness! Anyway, we proceeded to make fun of the hens and discuss which one of us would supposedly get married first (my name was put forward because I'm a tad obsessed with weddings but seems somewhat unlikely given my last blog entry!)... we decided it would be hilarious if we were to pretend that we were all on a hens' night: designate someone to be the bride to be and watch the curiosity and/or horror on people's faces when we tell them that our 18 yo friend is to be married next week!

So, at Schutzenfest this Saturday night, we're all going to have our HENS NIGHT there!! It will be good for a few laughs, if nothing else... tomorrow we're going hens' night shopping. Yup, we're going to enter the tantalising world of tacky cliche novelties where everything is euphemistically named "pecker ____" or "____ peckers". Like these little babies -- pecker straws!! These ones happen to also glow in the dark.. I sure do hope we can find some to sip our potent cider/beer through on Saturday night!

Another one of my faves would be this "bum pincher":

Stay tuned for a detailed account of my very first hens' night ;)
